Word processor - formatting, basic

Every word processor allows you to change the look of your text: to make words appear bold, italic or underlined, to change the colour and size of your text, the space between lines, the appearance of the page. Here are some tips for making these changes.

Saving document in another file format.
With the new Microsoft Office 2007 the file extension is saved as docx, where as the older version is doc. Many people still have the older version and the older version is unable to open the 2007 version so when saving your document you may need to change the file format and save as a Word 97-2003 document.
